Recipients of the 2018 Acta Student Awards A team of judges consisting of Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, Acta Biomaterialia and Materialia editors has completed the evaluation of nominees for the above awards. Each year we receive many excellent nominations and selecting the winners is a challenging task.

We are happy to report that Dr. Jingjing Wu, former visiting PhD student in our Institute (2018), was one of the recipients of the prestigious 2019 Acta Student Award. The team of judges consisting of editors of the journals Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, Acta Biomaterialia and Materialia evaluated nominees for the awards. This award honors the best student contribution to Scripta Materialia in 2013. The competition is very tough for this award, and only best papers are chosen. Tong also contributed to Acta Materialia in 2013. Both Scripta and Acta are high impact journals.
